About Andrea
Andrea is a Registered Psychologist with a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Acadia University. She supports adults from diverse backgrounds across Nova Scotia through assessment, counselling, and therapeutic programming. Her clinical experience includes correctional, military, and private practice settings, informing her work with concerns such as PTSD, trauma and abuse, grief and loss, depression and anxiety, stress and emotional regulation, and relationship difficulties.
Her approach is integrative and grounded in evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
Through advanced training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and certification in trauma-informed yoga, she integrates clinical psychology with mindfulness and body-oriented approaches to support holistic well-being. She is committed to offering a compassionate, collaborative, and inclusive therapeutic space that fosters deep personal insight, growth, and sustainable change.
